Humane Voters of Washington endorses federal, state and local candidates in Washington that we believe will support the humane treatment of all animals. Our endorsements are based on the candidates’ positions on a range of animal issues from preventing cruelty to companion animals, protecting wildlife, the captivity of wild and exotic animals to the use of animals in agriculture. We consider candidates’ responses to our election questionnaire, their voting record/history on animal issues, public statements about animal issues as well their viability in the election. While we strive to cover as many races as possible, we aren’t able to issue endorsements on every race in every jurisdiction, and if you feel we’ve missed a key endorsement, or if you would like to be considered for an endorsement, please contact us at info@humanevotersofwa.net.
Endorsements below are for Washington’s November 7, 2023 general election. Vote as soon as you can and make sure to return your mail-in ballot no later than 8 PM on November 7! You can register to vote online or via mail for this election until October 30, and can register in-person at any time, including on election day.
